Having Tea is very much a tradition in many of the islands of the Caribbean because many were once colonies of England. Our history here is rich, from the many sugar plantations to the sugar cane fields that are sadly disappearing.

Many hotels here still offer the traditional English tea at five o'clock, on their terraces or in their courtyards. Serving you an array of tarts, scones, and a rich dark fruitcake which is a staple.

Well I won't be at Sandy Lane any time soon, but curling up with a cup of Earl Grey tea with some freshly baked scones and jam and a good book . Hmmmmmm... sigh. I'll spend my time gathering my thoughts, away from the noise of it all, on my veranda. Sandy Lane will have to wait, till I could afford to treat myself to such a luxe tea.
