My Lovely Randomness: All things Bright and Beautiful.

Hello everyone, I hope all is well with you this week. Today's post is a bit of a hodge- podge of things, so bear with me. Firstly let me say Ralph Lauren's Summer collection 2012 is so very luxe and wearable. There are lots of pieces one can add to her wardrobe to capture the look he has created, inspired by "The Great Gatsby". I love this collection, check out the video above.  What do you think?

Secondly congratulations to my work colleague Caroline on her recent nuptials to the very handsome Craig. I wish them both many years of bliss.  Aren't they the cutest together??? I love happy endings.

Also Happy Birthday greetings to my now 4 year old daughter "Layla" which means "dark beauty" in Arabic/African. She has the most independent nature, an inquiring mind, a loving touch and she gives the best hugs. I feel incredibly fortunate to have a daughter. I remember when I first held her marvelling at how beautiful she was and wondering if I…

A Touch of Sparkle.

Did you catch Alice + Olivia’s short film presenting its Fall collection on Shopbop?  It’s so cute and cheeky in a sophisticated, glam sort of way. Don't you love sequins?? I do and and what better way to start the week. I am sure we girls love a bit of sparkle in our wardrobes. I couldn't help but notice that most designers and clothing icons are adding glam pieces to there collections and there is so much to choose from. Well for me, I can only do sequins in small doses like a clutch, top or a shoe. But give me time, maybe for the approaching
holiday season I'll step out in full sequin leggings or a skirt. So I hope as another week dawns you'll enjoy my pics in this post and consider whether a bit of sparkle is just what you need.

Sweet Paul Magazine Fall Issue.

Today's inspiration is from none other than Sweet Paul Mag, their fall issue is filled with earthy , wholesome, comfort food from the forest and the farm. The recipes are wonderfully chosen by Paul Lowe Editor/ Photo Stylist, and he has clearly out done himself in this fall issue, he lovingly dedicates to his mother. Checkout the harvest, beet and avocado recipes especially. Here are a few of my fave images and craft projects, but go ahead and have a look, you might want to order your own copy of Sweet Paul this fall or visit his wildly popular blog here. Cheers to Paul as he chases the sweet things in life.

How divine is this lampshade made from vintage doilies.

Take care everyone, I hope you are having a great week so far.

Interview with "HER" - Eva Foreva {A Featured Blogger Series}.

When did you start blogging and why? I started blogging when I still had my EvaForeva etsy shop and thought it would give me a new outlet to reach customers and make new friends.  It soon became a major part in my life and developed an enormous interest in digital photography and soon after analog photography.  I have been very fortunate to meet some of the most amazing people through blogging.

What inspires you to blog??? My life, my family, people around me.

Are there any projects you are working on at the moment? Ah, way too many things are on my mental to-do list.  Sometimes I take photos while working on projects and them post them in my Library of DIY Ideas.

What are you reading at the moment? Student-teacher bulletin updates.

Who are your style or inspirational icons and why? Can't think of anyone.  Is that bad?

Who are some of your fave blogs? I really admire Clever Nettle and Alexandra Grecco for their film photography.  ArtMind and Renne have been the bloggers I've known…

Kitchen Aspirations

When I first saw this kitchen belonging to Food Network Host Tyler Florence, the decor just stopped me dead in my tracks and I have been just sitting looking at every pretty detail that makes up this gorgeous decor. What's your fave part of this kitchen??? I'd take those black granite counter tops, the overhead skylight, and those upholstered, comfy bar stools... (and the Fendi Tote hanging on the chair). .. and Tyler as well to cook me his Garlicky Mash Potatoes and Beef Stew with Peach Cobbler..Sigh!!!!!

Look of the Day and J. Crew Spring 2012

The look of the day is from none other than Solange Knowles. I swooned for Solange's bright pink Prabal Gurung for J.Crew Exploding Bow Blouse and Teddy Foulard Trouser. Hanging out with her hugely popular big sis at the Lincoln Center during Spring 2012 Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, day six, on September 13, 2011 in New York City. I 'm so, so loving the entire look. What do you think my lovlies?????

Back view of blouse is still stunning.
