Beachy Decor and a Happy Weekend.

I am crushing on this gorgeous beach house space above. I would definitely spend my summers retreating on a porch like this and the hues are subtle without being boring. The large sofa swings just leaves me breathless, as I love the way they hover on the porch and sway in the breeze. They must feel like you're riding on a wave... very clever don't you think.

Happy Weekend my lovely friends. Stay tuned for more summery post coming your way.

Happy Birthday to...

Vera Wang-Spring-2012-Bridal-Collection-wedding Dresses

Join me in wishing Vera Wang Happy 63rd Birthday...

I admire her incredible creativity and hard work of the brand she has built over the years. Here is brief outline of her early career.

Fashion designer. Born June 27, 1949, in New York City. The daughter of affluent Chinese immigrants, Wang enjoyed a pampered childhood growing up on Manhattan's Upper East Side. She attended the elite Chapin School and the School of American Ballet, before enrolling at Sarah Lawrence College. During her sophomore year, Wang briefly studied abroad at the Sorbonne in Paris, but returned to the United States to complete her degree in art history.

A talented figure skater, Wang competed professionally throughout her teens. In the 1968 and 1969 U.S. National Championships she and her partner, James Stuart, placed fifth in the junior pairs competition. Upon her graduation from college, in 1971, Wang shelved her skating career and began working for Vogue magazine. Within a year, at the age of 23, Wang was promoted to senior fashion editor. She held that title for the next 15 years. In 1987, she left Vogue to take a job as design director for accessories at Ralph Lauren.

Summer Style: Kaftan Chic.

Flower print "Roberto Cavalli" Silk Chiffon kaftan

Summer is as good reason as any to look fabulous, whether with a full-on bright look or with a bold accessory. Go for the coveted sun-kissed, vivid summer look with a stylish kaftan, that will brighten your look and cheer up your wardrobe.

Stylish kaftans are not just for the beach, they make perfect evening wear, loungewear and sleepwear because they are so loose and comfortable, and are so easy to just slip on over your head. They especially look beautiful over bikinis, or dressed up with jeans. This is a great look that goes well with bedazzled heels, flip flops, sandals, or just barefeet.

Are you a kaftan lover????? They are so many takes on this classic style and with a rich, international history, here's is a bit of background on the kaftan.

Origins of the Kaftan

Way before the likes of Elizabeth Taylor and Grace Kelly wore kaftans, Sultans in the Ottoman Empire (modern Turkey) wore them in colorful patterns and gave them as gifts to important visitors. This was about 700 years ago, and through the centuries, different versions of the kaftan became popular in Morocco, Italy, China, Russia, and Southeast Asia. Pretty much every region of the world has its own version.

I think I'll be seeing you in this look for this summer, am I right?

Cheers my sweeties.

Happy Friday and Beaded Details.

Hello Everyone, after a busy week in the office, I'm looking forward to just taking it east today, probably a walk on the beach or just sitting in my fave cafe with my coffee and a good book. Sometimes I just need some alone time, how about you? Do you take time out for your self? Do you enjoy your solitude? I look forward to those times to gather my thoughts, to plan, meditate, pray or just watch the world go by. I find it is so necessary to have balance in my own life. How do love to spend time alone?

Here are 3 reasons why you need to spend time alone

1. You’ll feel better and happier

We all seek happiness, but very few realize that happiness can only be found through moments of solitude. Otherwise, we will be drifted away from what is meaningful and what is valuable … and what brings us true happiness.

But spending time alone, in general, will make you feel better and be happy. Because, it is your way to an integrated mind, body and soul. It is your way to slow down, live in peace and enjoy life’s simple pleasures.

2. You’ll be more focused and productive

The problem in our society nowadays is that people give much more value and importance to being busy, productive and serving others only.

What you need to know is that if you’re not in peace from the inside, you can’t project peace or bring joy to others on the outside. You can’t give what you lack.

Also, solitude helps improve your focus and productivity.

It’s good to be busy and productive. But the question is, “Where are you heading?” and “What are you busy doing?”

Are you being busy doing something joyful and meaningful to you?

3. You’ll get to know yourself more.

Spending time alone doesn’t mean that you’ll isolate yourself all the time.

You don’t need to isolate yourself from your beloved ones. You only need to find balance between being accessible to others and your accessibility to yourself!

Humans are social by nature. That’s why social networks like Facebook have boomed. We always seek more and better ways to communicate and easily know more about our friends and people we care about. But that doesn’t mean that we can’t be happy alone too.

The real challenge is: How can you find and spend time alone in this hectic fast-paced world that seems to never sleep?

Cheers to the Weekend Everyone.

The Loveliness of Lace.

Hello everyone, I've always adored lace from a child. My love affair goes as far back as my grandmother, and she had quite a collection of wonderful tablecloths, napkins, curtains and beautiful place settings. Now more than ever lace is no longer for just for brides and their maids. Lace can be seen anywhere, anytime, like at a gallery opening, happy hour and even the office.

Blue lace...SWOON!!!

Here is Kate killing it with turquoise lace, can she possibly be more divine.

I almost missed this green lace skirt, as I was distracted by the matching clutch and shoes...great ensemble.

Very sexy, this black lace pee-a-boo insert.

Lauren Conrad's plum lace dress is a keeper. What about you are you loving lace at this moment? For my cousin's wedding I'm hoping to find just the right lace outfit. Cheers to the weekend everyone. All images are via my Tumblr.

Try this Trend - Undereye Liner.

It’s easy, very edgy, and makes eyes POP. A thick line under the eyes might sound like venturing into the Adams Family territory, but keep it fresh (not frightening) with dewy skin, a pretty flush of colour on the lids, and lightly defined lashes. Is this your new smokey eye? I'm willing to try, what about you. See you on the other side gals!

Much Love Always.

Wednesdays' Inspiration.

I am so swamped with work this week and planning a trip to Atlanta next week as well. I wish I had two of me to do all I needed to get done. Hopefully this weekend I will be able to get some much needed rest and relaxation. Take Care.
