Designers in Residence: Kathyrn Boyd and Tricia Foley.

I enjoy peeking into designers homes for the holidays. Here is Kathyrn Boyd's home from the pages of the most recent Lonny Magazine mini December issue. I adore how she mixes colors and textures, not everyone can do this and pull it off.

Tricia Foley  a respected interior designer and author for many years, I love her. Here is a peak into her home for the holidays. Don't you love those big red knitted stocking, I'd wear them as well, if I had my way.
Have a cozy Christmas with something  hot and delicious to drink. May joy and love come to you.

My Birthday Boy.

Happy 7th Birthday son. I love you very much, you are my sunshine.

The Christmas Table.

As we gather in our homes around our Christmas tables let us strive this Christmas and all through the year, to love each other with all our hearts, to embrace each other and say I love you as often as we can.  Today my husband's Uncle passed away, after a brief battle with cancer.  How heart -broken we all are as we will miss his bigness of life and loud laughter.

Let us have peace, forgiveness, compassion, joy and hold no record of wrongs as we sit together around our Christmas tables. Hold no jealousy or envy and be gracious to those who are not. Let us decorate our homes and tables with such and the memories we make will last a lifetime.

Friday and Holiday Decor.

Well as you can see, I haven't posted since Monday's Christmas craft inspiration. I wish I could say I was busy with Christmas chores but my job has been very demanding as I work for a network of radio stations.  Well in keeping with the holiday season, I just have to show you some of Pottery Barn's lovely decor ideas.
I usually collect their wonderful catalogs and their Christmas catalogs are just filled with decor ideas to make the most die hard Christmas fan swoon.

Thank you to all my new friends, who are following my blog as well.  Have a great weekend everyone. Happy Shopping.

Holiday Trends and the Spirit of Christmas.

I am in love with the small pine wreaths in the windows below. I find them breath-taking and simple.

Red and white is always classic and festive in any home.
Via H&M Home. White and Silver is such a great combination for any white room.
Today I was pondering what was it, could it be one thing or many, that made the Spirit of this time of year special. I am thinking it has so much to do with the music of the season. I love to hear Frank Sinatra's Christmas Waltz, an all time favorite of mine. Luther Vandross, Jewel, Josh Groban, just to name a few.
What's your fave Christmas CD?
As I sit in my home with the Max Jazz Christmas CD playing and the kids running around with the dogs and the beginnings of my holiday lights winking on a small tree. I am reminded that the Spirit of this season is not found in the tangible but the intangible. You cannot see it or hold it, even though I wish I could. So what do you think the Spirit of this season is all about???

For me, I will be thankf…
