Lorena in Uruguay via Travel Designery
Hello everyone, meet Lorena from the fabulous blog Travel Designery.  As a recent follower to her also recent blog, it has quickly become one of my favorites and to many others as well. I look forward to seeing  more of her multi-faceted life, as she shares her travels, her passions and her lifestyle. Thank you so much Lorena for a truly unique blog.
When did you start blogging and why?I started blogging just over 2 weeks ago, on March 13th. The reason was basically to share the beauty and variety I've seen in this world. And people always seemed very interested in my travels and photos so I thought it would be a good platform to address those things.
What are three words that best describe you?Creative, Loyal, and Determined.
What are some of your fashion must haves when travelling?  A versatile wrap/pashmina which doubles as a cool scarf, a nice pair of walking boots or …

Cushion covers made of vintage silk scarves are so right for a spring spruce up. Whatever your fancy the possibilities are endless. I especially love the covering on the bed above. I wonder how many I would need to cover my bed. Oh!! and another super idea would be some lovely cafe curtains for the breakfast room or kitchen. Can you think of any other ways we could use our old scarves??
Keep the ideas flowing. The weekend is soon upon us, Yipppeee, I'm looking forward to heading to the beach for some rest and relaxation with a good book or a stack of magazines. Cheers my lovely friends.

Decor Inspiration #7

I love decorating with art and from time to time just moving paintings and photos around my home.  I love large pieces the best, but whatever your taste, nothing personalizes your space like art does.

A Recipe.

A lovely breakfast with a  custardy centre and crisp light edges. Topped with blackberries . .. so delicious you must try this. Yum-e!!!!

3 eggs
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup bread flour or all-purpose flour, sifted
1/4 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
6 tablespoons butter
Lemon juice and powdered sugar to taste

Preheat oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit, and place the rack in the middle. Put a 10″ cast iron skillet or other heavy ovenproof pan in the oven to get hot and sizzling. Beat eggs in a large bowl until frothy. Add milk, flour, vanilla and cinnamon. Beat a few minutes until the batter is creamy (it’s okay if there are a few lumps). Working quickly, remove the skillet from the oven and add butter, tilting to melt and coat pan. Pour batter into skillet all at once and return immediately to oven. Bake about 20-25 minutes until puffed and golden brown around the edges. Remove from oven and serve immediately. Slice into wedges and top with lemon juice and powdered sugar.

Have a fabulous weekend my Lovelies. What are you loving today?? xxx

Words of Inspiration #1.

If you are like me, there is probably so many things veying for your attention in any given day, from the time you wake in the morning till you lie in bed at night. As I reflect on the words above, "you need only to be still".  Being "still" is not how I would describe my life but it's an encouragement for me to place my reliance in Him. Who do you rely on???
With all I have going on (1) one child with ADHD, (2) myself being diagnosed with a hyperactive-thyroid, (3) hubby just diagnosed with heart challenges, (4) aging parents who need me, (5) a marketing driven job in this economy, can you imagine me trying to handle all this on my own. Don't allow the busyness of this life to take its toll on you. We do have God that desires we rely on Him not just in the tough times but for all times. So I hope in some small way today, this scripture will find it's way to your heart.

Rue Issue #4 has arrived.

The latest issue of Rue magazine is finally here and thanks to these brilliant gals, who I admire very much.
Also a  warm welcome to Cassie Lavalle from the outrageously popular blog Coco & Kelly, who is the newest addition to the team. Visit Rue here to fall in love with the new issue.

The White House.

I hope everyone had a great weekend. I am still loving the glorious look of all white interiors, aren't you????. Here are some of my most recent inspirations.  Anyway, I am off to the supermarket and to do some baking this evening. I'm thinking maybe a strawberry crumble for my tea and a maybe a rich Irish stew for supper. Yum-e!!!. Take care my lovelies.
