Decor Inspiration: Eclectic Entryways.

I believe your foyer says a lot about you and your home, don't you think????. It sets the tone for the style and decor of the rest of the house, giving hints of what’s to come ans says "Welcome" to all. I have been hunting for ideas and pinning all that inspire me and here are few I think are divine.

I am in love with so many things from the zebra cover bench above to chandeliers, tall plants or orchids, baskets, stools and mirrors. I hope to re-design my entryway with a few must have items, some re-upholstery and paint. Wish me luck on keeping within my budget.

Here's to a Lovely Week Ahead and Oscar Dresses

Emma is all wrapped up with a bow in Giambattista Valli.
Viola Spencer wearing Vera Wang and Stacy Keibler in Marchesa.

Gwyneth in a white caped Tom Ford creation and Octavia Spencer in a draped pale-gold beaded Tadashi Shoji.

Michelle Williams in Louis Vuitton and Penelope Cruz in Armani were highlights.
I hope everyone got a peek at the Oscars last night, some really interesting hits and misses on the red carpet. So be sure to let me know who you think rocked it last night. Happy Monday everyone.

Rustic Spaces

Well the week is well on its way and despite some major decision making, I am resolved more than ever to not give up so easily. This takes every bit of your energy and then some...as I strive to be the very best of every role in my life as wife, mother, daughter, sister and best friend. Also this balancing act of career and motherhood in this economy can be daunting. with projects at work to be finished and science projects due as well for my son, I wonder where I'll find the time to cook dinner, gym, spend time with the hubs and the list goes on and let's not forget blogging....LOL.

A special thank you to all those lovelies who stop by my blog even though you don't comment that's fine, as I really appreciate all the love and big hugs to my most recent followers. So now it's back to my life as I know and I just had to share these adorable rustic spaces I found, aren't they just divine. Take care and have a fabulous remainder of the week.

Decisions, Decisions.

Here's to a wonderful week ahead to everyone. I do feel I am faced with many decisions today, that I have  been putting off for sometime now. But one cannot make decisions in a vacuum or without it affecting others that you dearly love, that's my biggest fear to date. That's how I feel this morning, ever been here, I'm sure you have... decisions about my life and where I'm going with my career, do I even like who I am becoming, my marriage, my kids. Decisions almost always mean change, they go hand in hand don't they??? What decisions are you facing today?  Are you willing to take that leap of blind faith and let God catch you?? That's me at the moment and so that I don't ramble on...be sure to let me know what makes you feel ready to make hard decisions.

Inspiration; Elva Fields.

If you are looking for some inspiration, check out the website of Elva Fields.

I'm not sure what it is about big, chunky brooch-inspired necklaces these days, but I've certainly got a thing for them. Just take a look at these beautiful baubles by Elva Fields, a fine handmade jewelry company comprised of one-of-a-kind and limited edition vintage necklaces, earrings and bracelets.
I'm especially adoring the Elva Collection: An exclusive group of one-of-a-kind designs that feature vintage and antique components integrated with precious metals and natural gemstone beads.
Also the June collection: Earrings, bracelets and necklaces created in limited editions from 1940s glass beads, vintage cameos, charms, buttons and semi-precious stones.
I'm equally intrigued... , by the Deb collection which also offers a twist on eco-friendly design by featuring entirely reclaimed and recycled elements - from chain to clasp. In my opinion, too many choices so little time.
These pieces also ins…

Pinks and Reds for Valentine's Day.

Hello its Monday everyone and I'm loving the pink and red combo for Valentine's Day. Doesn't Emma Stone look stunning. The nude shoe is to die for as well, it makes ones legs seem endless. I can't wait to see what I will pull together for tomorrow's work day or evening. Cheers everyone, hope you are loving this combo as well.

Happy Friday and Planning a cozy Valentine's Dinner.

Plan ahead

Choose or plan a menu ahead of time and keep it simple. Prepare as much as you can beforehand so that you can spend less time in the kitchen and more time with your loved one.
Take a break from the kids
Yes, we love them, but kids are so not romantic. Arrange for babysitting at a friend or family member’s house so that you can enjoy the night without worrying if the little ones are going to interrupt your dinner.

Dim the lights
Light candles not only on the table but around the room to create a romantic atmosphere and just the right mood. Mini white Christmas lights can also create a soft light when spread around the room.

Don't forget music

Create a playlist or CD of songs that are sentimental to both of you and play it softly in the background.
Listen here to this divine playlist for ideas.

The Romance of Red.

Trend Inspiration: The Mullet Hem. (What the heck is a mullet anyway?)

Well, ladies. If you’ve got a flare for the dramatic or simply can’t decide between a maxi and a mini, this spring and summer you’re in for a treat. Tapered, asymmetrical, swoop, fish tail hem dresses. Call them what you like but these dresses say "PARTY IN THE FRONT AND BUSINESS IN THE BACK". these dresses will be all the rage this year. They’re fun and sexy, concealing almost as much as they reveal. And trust me over-forty girls, there is no better way of updating your wardrobe and showing those legs off.

Although, this trend has been gracing the runways for quite some time, finding comparable styles in the stores is almost near impossible. But after searching high and low I’m bringing you the best of what’s out there. From pretty pastel party dresses to bold prints, I’m all over this trend. Sooo now what will I be wearing this Valentine's???? Hmmph let me see.

Style Obesession: Stacks of Bracelets.

Are you currently loving stacks of gorgeous bracelets on your arm?? This trend seems to be everywhere I look and even though it takes time and money to find the right pieces, you must admit it's a great way to express your personal style. So I went on a little google hunt and found Ettika.com. Hallelujah!!!! Well needless to say I was in bracelet heaven with their very large array of bracelet stacks, not to mention earrings, anklets and necklaces.
Here are a few stacks from Ettika's stacks I'm totally crushing on.

Thanks for stopping by my lovely friends. Be sure to checkout their incredible Gift Certificates as well here. I'm off to check out more of their awesome site, who knows I just might be here all week, LOL.
Love visiting my blog? Well stop on by my Pinterest, Tumblr, Twitter and Facebook sometime.
