summer's end and cool ades

On the last of these summer days, why settle for the usual? Fruity concoctions, unlikely mixtures with a splash of the unexpected. here are a few my faves to end our summer sojourn.

Lime Strawberryade

Makes about 6 cups.

1 lb. fresh strawberries, hulled
juice from 2 limes (about 1/3 cup)
1/3 c. sugar
4 c. water
ice
2 cups Chilled Sparkling Rose (optional)

Add strawberries, lime juice, sugar, and water to a blender and blend until completely pureed and smooth. Pour through a strainer into a large pitcher, pressing the fruit pulp to get as much juice out if it as possible. Skim the foam off the top of the pitcher and discard. Taste the juice and add more lime or sugar to taste if necessary. Cover the pitcher and refrigerate until chilled. Stir before serving, then serve over ice, with a slice of lime and a fresh strawberry for garnish.

Limeade Punch

INGREDIENTS
1 (12 ounce) can frozen limeade concentrate.
5-6 crushed mint leaves
1 (2 liter) bottle Sprite.
frozen raspberries or sliced limes for garnish
ice.

Grapefruitade

INGREDIENTS:

Cayenne Simple Syrup -
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (or more if you’re adventurous)

The Drink
4 oz grapefruit juice (fresh squeezed if you can – takes about 2 grapefruits)
1 oz cayenne simple syrup
ice
lime wedge

Your Time (Happy Friday).

Hello my Lovelies. I trust you all a great week and looking forward to the weekend. I know I am, as I have lovely dinner plans with a trip to the beach as well as , to catch some much needed sunshine. Don't get me wrong there is great weather all around me here in the tropics, but when you are working in a cold air conditioning office, you don't see much of the sun or warm weather.

I adore simple weekend dresses like the one I've posted, that's breezy and light or shorts with filp flops and a huge beach bag where I just throw my stuff in. The weekend is also not complete without a broad rim hat, the broader the better.

Well Cheers to the wekend and be safe my Lovelies, till we meet again.

holiday outfit inspiration

Hello everyone, are some you still trying to find that Thanksgiving outfit. here are some of my holiday picks for the season. I adore the Sigrid Blouse from Anthropologie that just screams holiday season, it's flattering in any size, when paired with Black leggings or skinny jeans. I am also a big fan of draping and the Sirpo pullover in red is indeed one of my favs for  all holiday parties.

Also from Anthropologie is this gorgeous Berlin midi skirt and printed Jacqui dress is divine. So I hope this post might give you a few more ideas as Thanksgiving draws near. Cheers to the Hols my lovelies.
